1st ASIAN KODA & DEAF SUMMER CAMP

*KODA: Kids of Deaf Adults

August 11-13, 2023

We are elated to announce that the first-ever Asian Kids of Deaf Adults (KODA) and Deaf summer camp has witnessed a record-breaking turnout in history! About 100 people participated in this incredible event, making it the largest gathering in the MADA’s history. The enthusiasm and support from the Asian Deaf community have been overwhelming, and we are truly grateful for everyone's participation. The Asian KODA and Deaf summer camp aims to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for Children of Deaf Adults (CODAs), fostering friendship, learning, and Asian values, including filial piety.

With such a remarkable turnout, we are confident that we have achieved our goal of bringing together a diverse group of Asian families and individuals who share a common bond. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the campers, volunteers, and leaders who made this event a resounding success. Your dedication and commitment have truly made a difference in the lives of these KODA/CODA and Deaf children. Together, we have created memories that will last a lifetime. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting next year’s camp event from us!
